Young woman at the Café in a blue Kimono
Painting by Tanaka Masaaki, painter and sculptor.
Oil painting
Height 65cm x Width 50cm
Born in Yamaguchi, Japan, in 1947, Tanaka Masaaki lives and works in Paris.
After studying at the Institute of Engraving and the Graphic Design School in Tokyo in the 70s, the artist traveled throughout Japan and France, exhibiting at numerous art fairs where he won several prizes and honorary mentions.
His paintings, full of color, light and joie de vivre, pay tribute to both his Japanese origins and his adopted country.
In this painting, a young woman takes a coffee break on a terrace along the banks of the Seine, wearing an elegant Japanese kimono and tabi boots. You may have guessed that the painter, a friend of our stylist Chikako Inoue, is inspired by the IKIAN style ;)
