This form of bowl is very old (more than 100 years) it is not possible to find in the trade nowadays.
They are used for soup, the lid keeps the liquid warm and it is a pleasure to open the lid and discover what is inside.
Beautiful table object, very pleasant to the touch.
Made of lacquered wood, Taisho period - early Shouwa
Bowl: 13cm diameter x 5.2cm height, lid: 12cm diameter x 3.2cm height, closed lid 7.8cm height.
Maintenance: do not put in dishwasher
