These Hawaiian shirts have been cut from vintage yukata fabrics*. Their patterns are typically Japanese and original, they are one-off pieces!

From workwear to surfwear, the history of the Hawaiian shirt is rooted in the outfits worn by the Japanese who came to Hawaï to work on the sugar cane plantations in the late 19th century. Encouraged by the missionaries to cover their torsos, they used kimono fabrics to make the famous Aloha shirts that became famous in the 1930s.

Their light cotton and subtle decoration make them the ideal solution to stay classy even under a blazing sun!
