In the past, the Koikuchi shirt was worn under the kimono as an undergarment. Since then it has become "The" Japanese casual shirt.
This one was printed by hand with the traditional "Chusen zomé" dyeing technique dating from the Edo period.
This artisanal technique has the particularity of completely penetrating the dye into the fiber so that the patterns are of equal intensity on both sides of the fabric.
The result is a softer fabric, with excellent absorption and drying properties, and of course an intense and longer lasting color.
100% cotton, 100% hand made in Japan.
