Haori shibori plum blossom gradient

This vintage* haori is a one-off piece made by hand of Shibori silk. Shibori is a traditional Japanese tye and die folding technique from the 8th century creating clear embossed patterns on the fabric : Each small point was made with a tied bond around a small seed or a small pebble… It is a very "haute couture" piece of work !

Its delicate floral gradient ranging from plum to orange evokes a spring sunset ...
